Southern Rivers Seeks Scholarship Applicants

SRE is accepting applications for two scholarship programs.
Southern Rivers Energy is accepting applications for two scholarship programs: the prestigious Walter Harrison Scholarship program sponsored by Georgia’s EMCs, and the Southern Rivers Energy Trust Scholarship sponsored by the SRE Trust and Southern Rivers Energy.
The Walter Harrison Scholarship is a statewide competition and Southern Rivers Energy will submit one application. This $1000 scholarship will be awarded to seven students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance. Grade point average, SAT scores, academic standing, scholastic honors, and financial need are considered when determining eligibility. The $1000 scholarship is available to any college level student within the state of Georgia regardless of age. Applications must be postmarked by Feb. 6, 2012.

The SRE Trust Scholarship is a local scholarship opportunity sponsored by Southern Rivers
Energy and the Southern Rivers Energy Trust, Inc. Applicants will be
judged on the quality of their essays, GPA, community and school
involvement. Twenty (20) scholarships worth $1000 each will be awarded
to local students in 2012. Applications must be postmarked by March 12, 2012.
