What is a Touchstone Energy® Cooperative? Touchstone Energy is a nationwide alliance of over 600 cooperatives in 44 states that use the Touchstone brand as a way of identifying themselves as preferred providers in the electrical utility industry. Touchstone Energy Co-ops are dedicated to providing their member/owners with the highest level of service, always making their needs and concerns a priority by basing their service on four core principles: integrity, accountability, innovation and commitment to community.

In partnering with such a large and diverse group of EMCs across the nation, Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives are able to pool their resources to obtain worthwhile programs for their communities such as the National Child Identification Program, and the Discovery Channel's "Get Charged" Electricity Kit, at a considerably lower cost.

The National Child Identification Program is sponsored by the FBI, the National Football Coaches' Association, and Touchstone Energy in order to provide parents with an extremely important identification tool for their children. This kit allows the parents to fingerprint their child and has a place to list their age, height, weight, eye and hair color as well as a place to list any identifying birth marks or other traits and a current picture. "Get Charged" is a joint effort between Touchstone Energy and the Discovery Channel to provide educational material about electricity and the history of Electric Membership Cooperatives for middle schools.
