Member Advisory Committee
SRE created a Member Advisory Committee in 2011 in an effort to communicate with members in person about how their cooperative operates and exists to serve their needs. Throughout the program, members learn about the history of rural electric cooperatives like Southern Rivers Energy and all the programs and services that are available to help them conserve energy and money. In return, committee members are asked to stay involved at the cooperative and provide feedback on new programs and services to ensure that SRE is providing what their members need in the most effective way.
The goals of the Member Advisory Committee (MAC) are:
- Create Informed Membership
- Establish Focus Group
- Tell our Story
- Encourage Political Awareness and Action
- Solicit Input for Future Committee Selections
